Privacy Policy
This page is a general template and is not legal advice; Jerky Fixx should have it reviewed.
Jerky Fixx is a family-run, small-batch carne seca and beef jerky business in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This policy explains what we collect when you use jerkyfixx.com, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and honest.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. Our forms (order request, questions, FIXX Fiends VIP Club waitlist, and event alerts) ask for some or all of:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your delivery address and drop-off notes (for orders)
- Your message
- The items you selected (for order requests)
We do not collect payment card data on this site. There is no online checkout.
How orders work
The website cart and order forms send us an order request. We follow up by text or email to confirm your order and payment (Cash App, Venmo, Apple Pay or cash). Your dealer uses your delivery address only to drop off your order, then texts or emails you a photo of the package at your door so you know it arrived. That photo is shared only with you.
What happens to your submission
- Your submission is emailed to Jerky Fixx and to our web designer, DYAD Marketects.
- It is also stored in a private Google Sheet through Google Apps Script. Google acts as our service provider for this storage.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and handle your order request.
- To confirm pickup or delivery and payment.
- To add you to the FIXX Fiends VIP Club waitlist or send event alerts, if you asked for them.
- To keep the site working and secure.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share it with the service providers described on this page so we can run the site and fill your requests.
Cart, cookies and similar storage
Your cart is kept in your own browser (localStorage, key jf_cart). It does not leave your device until you send an order request. We also save a small record of your cookie choice (jf_consent), which is strictly necessary so we can remember your preference.
Optional analytics, such as Google Analytics 4, may be added later. If so, it will only load after you accept it. You can change your mind any time on our Cookies page.
Third-party services
To load this site, your browser contacts a few outside services. They receive your IP address and basic browser details when they serve their files:
- Google Fonts for typefaces
- cdnjs and jsDelivr for scripts
- Google Maps, embedded on the page to show where to find us
- Google (Sheets and Apps Script) to store form submissions
These services have their own privacy policies. If you follow our links to Instagram, Facebook or Threads, those platforms handle your data under their own rules.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email jerkyfixx@gmail.com and tell us which name, email or phone number you used. You can also ask to be removed from the VIP Club waitlist or event alerts the same way. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act on a request.
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law (for example California), you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests as the law requires. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security and keeping data
Submissions go to a private Google Sheet and our email. No method of sending data over the internet is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. We keep submissions only as long as we reasonably need them to handle your request and run the business, then delete them on request or when they are no longer needed.
US and New Mexico note
Jerky Fixx is based in New Mexico and this site is intended for visitors in the United States. By using it, you understand your information is handled in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above.
